The picture pretty much says it all. It's Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood almost six years ago. It's amazing how young they looked. Then again, six years ago, they were just a few years out of Lakeside High School. And that's what this story is about. Like how Haywood was, back then, president of the Love Unlimited youth choir at his United Methodist Church. "You knew he had the ability to make it big. He lived music and was exceptional. His guitar skills as a senior in high school were remarkable," said Danny Key, a family friend and music minister at that church. "He did a lot of arranging of contemporary Christian songs and was already producing on his computer at home. Other musicians may have a great voice or great talent, but they're not so well-rounded as Dave." As for Kelley, the story reports that he was known more for his "golf prowess." Glad to know Kelley's golf prowess didn't stand in the way of his real gift: his vocal prowess.
