(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)
It's hard to imagine there's anything Reba McEntire has not done. She sings, she acts, she writes, she designs. Now she's adding NASCAR duties to her list. Not driving, thank God. Just hosting. Reba will be at Thursday night's (Dec. 2) NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards ceremony at the Wynn in Las Vegas. "Country music and NASCAR have shared fans for many years, so I'll feel right at home. My family and I have gotten to meet so many nice people in the racing industry this year with my youngest son, Shelby, being one of the competitors," she said. (Shelby Blackstock competes in Grand-Am Road Racing competitions and will be racing fulltime in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge next year.) "We've been in Racing 101 all year long," she said. "Shelby's totally enjoying it. We're lovin' it. All the folks have been so sweet, kind and helping. They've just taken us under their wings and helped us to learn about the race and what we should do next."
