"Very high-tech redneck" is how Brad Paisley describes the cool technology he'll have with him on the road in 2012 on his Camobunga! World Tour.
"I like to take technology to where people walk out not sure how we did certain things. That's always a goal of mine. We've got a few of those in our bag of tricks." he told USA Today. "I got to see them the other day for the first time, and I was floored."
Paisley floored country fans all year, and for doing so, received a CMT Artist of the Year award. And here are some snippets of what he told USA Today about his four fellow honorees:
Jason Aldean: "It's the escape that a person like Jason Aldean creates for his fans from reality, all the while being based in reality. It's a celebration of the best parts about being who we are."
Kenny Chesney: "He's a great combination of fiercely competitive with himself and completely supportive of other artists. That's a great thing to be."
Lady Antebellum: "In Nashville in the spring, you go out and your car windshield is covered in this yellow pollen. That is Lady Antebellum: They are everywhere."
Taylor Swift: "She's above us all at this point."
