Miranda Lambert was only 19 when Faith Hill's Cry was released. So she was just a teenager and not yet a contestant on Nashville Star, but she was wise enough to know a great record when she heard one. In a recent interview, Lambert said Hill's records were a big part of her life growing up. "I was loving people that had something different, you know?" she told CMT Radio. "That did something a little bit different. And when Faith did the pop album -- the Cry record -- I just thought it was great. Her singing was cool, and it was something different I'd never heard from little ol' country Faith Hill, you know?" So add Lambert to the long list of Hill fans waiting to hear more details about her upcoming album rumored to be titled Illusion.
