This is not so much about how Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley keeps himself looking so young. It's more about how he keeps his memories young. Especially his memories of the people he grew up with. There's a line about that in the band's hit song "Dancin' Away With My Heart" that stands out to Kelley. "My favorite lyric of that is, 'For me, you'll always be 18 and beautiful,'" he said in a recent radio interview. "It's like, thinking back, different people have had an impression on my life and relationships and that first dance or whatever it may be. And ... you wonder what they're doing. You picture them in your head as that person. ... So, for you, they'll always look like that in your head. They'll be that person." I know exactly what he means. In fact, if it not for Facebook showing me exactly how my teenage boyfriends look now, I would always remember them as they looked when we were at the first dance, on the first car date and the first everything.
