"She's, like, one of my inspirations," RaeLynn Woodward, 17, says of Miranda Lambert. And of Woodward, Lambert says, "I think RaeLynn needs to focus on RaeLynn." This was on Monday night's (March 5) episode of The Voice when Lambert joined her husband, Blake Shelton, to help him get his singers ready for battle. "Blake said, 'She reminds me of you on Nashville Star,'" Lambert said of the young Texan. "So coming in as an advisor, it's a good feeling to hopefully say something to somebody that's gonna give them that extra boost of confidence." It must've worked because, ultimately, Shelton chooses RaeLynn to go on even though fellow judges Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera preferred competitor Adley Stump's take on Tom Petty's "Free Falling." Me? I personally preferred Lambert's vocals on the old Petty song. Hands down.
