(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)
Taylor Swift isn't even in North America right now. But while she may have left for her Speak Now tour in the Down Under, she did leave behind a little sneak peek of her upcoming episode of MTV's new and allegedly improved Punk'd. (The show's creator, Ashton Kutcher, is no longer the host, and the show will now feature rotating celeb guest hosts.) The premiere episode airing on March 29 has Justin Bieber punking Swift because, as he says, "I think we should start with Taylor. She's the sweetest girl ever." Swift will be the first country singer to ever be Punk'd. It looks like what happens is this: At a beachfront house, Bieber convinces Swift to set off some minor fireworks over the water, but then a fake boat catches on fake fire and ruins the fake wedding that's happening on board. After the fake bride is washing up on shore, you can hear Swift say, "This is completely not OK." I can't wait to watch. It's always been one of my favorite shows, and I don't think I ever missed an episode of the Candid Camera-like series during its 2003-2007 run. I'm so glad it's back.
