Brown is the new black for smoky eyes. Bronze is the new highlight. And Too Faced is the new Urban Decay. According to Carrie Underwood's make-up artist Melissa Schleicher, that brown, bronze and Too Faced combo is exactly the look they were going for at Sunday's (April 1) Academy of Country Music Awards. Schleicher told Us Weekly she used multiple bronzers and highlighters and a smoky eye palette from Too Faced Cosmetics. "For her red carpet arrival, we wanted her to be very 'Good Girl,' glamorous, feminine, but naturally dramatic with a bronze and brown smoky eye and a softly illuminated face," she revealed. And since Underwood was wearing a strapless dress when she arrived at the awards, Schleicher left her hair down but gave her a little hot-roller treatment first. "For the red carpet, Carrie wore a gorgeous strapless dress, and I like to style her hair down whenever she wears strapless," she said.
