Blake Shelton gave Keith Urban his cell phone number because, according to Shelton, Urban was feeling anxious about his decision-making as a judge on The Voice in Australia. Since Shelton's the expert on the show in the U.S., it makes sense that Urban would want to reach out to him. "He said, 'Man, I need to talk to you,'" Shelton told CMT Insider host Katie Cook. "And I was like, 'Why?' And he goes, 'Man, this show's about to start airing, and we've already done the blinds and the battle rounds.' And I said, 'We do need to talk because you've never experienced that kind of polarizing reaction from people. You know what I mean? Because people do get invested in a person, and it's one thing if America votes somebody off the show, but it's another thing if they can point to the one person that did that.'" Shelton added, "There's never a right decision to make on those," noting that the battle rounds are the only part of The Voice he doesn't like.
