There were black sequins, feathers, beads and netting. That's how you knew Miranda Lambert was not in Nashville anymore. The millinery she wore to the Kentucky Derby on Saturday (May 5) was barely even big enough to be called a hat. It's more of what hat people call a fascinator. She wore it on the right side of her head with a long blond wavy side ponytail on the left. Her stylist, Tiffany Gifford, told InStyle magazine Lambert loved this mini hat from Giovannio New York because it was just the right amount of retro. "She definitely looked to Kate Middleton for her Derby hat style," Gifford said. "Miranda specifically asked for a fascinator this year because the big hat she wore last year was so heavy it hurt her neck." But her royal-worthy glamour looked good from head to toe, with a Lela Rose dress, red Charlotte Olympia pumps and Colette jewels.
