"Growing up, my mom was like, 'Don't you dare air our dirty laundry,'" Miranda Lambert said Wednesday (July 25) on The View. "What happened to those days? Now it's just Twitter and Facebook. My mom would have killed me if I tweeted something like that." Lambert and the other four hosts were talking about Michael Jackson's teenaged daughter Paris and her controversial tweets. "I don't have children," Lambert noted. "I want children one day, but would you allow your children to tweet? I mean, what age? And what's appropriate and what's not? And where's the boundary?" All very, very good questions that no one really has the answers to. But the rest of the show wasn't quite so serious. Lambert talked about how great it was that The Dark Knight Rises star Christian Bale visited some of the wounded survivors of the Colorado shootings. "As an entertainer myself, I feel like it makes me want to go do something nice. It wasn't in the press. It was just out of the kindness of his heart," she said of Bale. "It's really cool he didn't do it for attention." She also talked about her favorite go-to date night with Blake Shelton: "Going home together." And, she performed her latest Pistol Annies song, "Takin' Pills," which is kind of perfect for the viewers of The View. And did anyone else notice that Lambert and guest Jessica Alba were wearing almost identical black patent leather peep toe pumps? Or is it just me?
