You can't literally steal Blake Shelton's talent, per se. But someone may steal the talent he's chosen on The Voice. It's part of a change the show is making for the upcoming season which starts Sept. 10. During the battle rounds, the four coaches will be allowed to steal each other's contestants. What I don't understand is what kind of bargaining tools each coach will have. Say Christina Aguilera passes on a singer, and Shelton picks that singer for his team. But then Aguilera changes her mind and wants to steal that singer away. What does Shelton get in return? How do they make it an even trade? We'll have to wait for the show to start to see how that works. The show is also going to start allowing substitute coaches to fill in when one of the original four has a scheduling conflict. I hope anyone who subs for Shelton is like-minded and has the same taste in music and humor. Big shoes to fill, I know, but the show just wouldn't be the same without that kind of personality.
