I can think of no better way to relax before kicking off a big whirlwind of a tour than kittens. And I think Carrie Underwood agrees. That's probably why she and her mom stopped by the Checotah Animal Shelter over the weekend to play with all the tabbys, black-and-whites, Siamese and calicos. "Hanging out at the Checotah animal shelter! Anyone want a kitten? I think we have a few!!! Ha ha!," Underwood tweeted about the shelter's collection of kittens. The shelter director told People that Underwood stayed for about 45 minutes loving up on all the animals, but that it was the kittens that stole her heart -- especially a silvery grey one that had been found on a parking lot. For that one, she wrote, "Someone left this one at the grocery store." The shelter's director added that Underwood makes a habit of stopping by when she's back home in Checotah. "She comes to visit every time she comes to see her mom. She got all the kittens up on her lap and loved on them. She really cares a lot for animals."
