I knew he looked familiar. That other sexy guy in Tim McGraw's new "Truck Yeah" video? It's McGraw's long-time pal Garrett Hedlund. They worked together in the Friday Night Lights and Country Strong movies, but it wasn't like they were just co-stars sharing scenes and that was that. Back in 2010, Hedlund told me about how when he was struggling to get into character (Beau Hutton) for Country Strong, he headed to Nashville and moved into a ranch on McGraw's property for about a month. "I got to wake up each morning and look out at Hank Sr.'s old place. It doesn't get any better than that. Even sat out on the front porch there on New Year's Eve, by myself, setting off fireworks," he recalled. And before that, after Friday Night Lights wrapped in 2004, Hedlund went to one of McGraw's shows in Texas and joined the singer onstage for a little "I Like It, I Love It." I'm not sure if the two guys hooking up again means anything. Is there another movie in the works? Was Hedlund just randomly in Chattanooga, Tenn., the week of the video shoot? Or does Hedlund just want to move back into McGraw's little ranch? My bet's on a new movie. And to that, I say, "Truck yeah."
