What is running through Keith Urban's mind? It's impossible -- for me, anyway -- to watch the expletive-rich cat fight between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey and not wonder what he's thinking. It happened at the American Idol auditions Tuesday (Oct. 2) in North Carolina, and you can see Minaj go off on a bit of a rant mode, allegedly over a contestant's performance. And you can see Urban holding his hands up, either in a surrender gesture or in a "hey-let's-all-calm-down" move. Even though his tweet late last night just said, "Awesome #IdolAuditions day today Charlotte. Lotta soul, lotta country, lotta down home cool. -- KU," he had to be wondering why the judges couldn't be a little more down-home cool. When I watch the Minaj/Carey explosion, I think Urban must be thinking, "What have I gotten myself into?" Or, "Is this a staged hoax or a realistic fight?" Or, "Why can't we all just get along?" Or, "Isn't this supposed to be about the contestants, not the judges?" Or, "Remind me to delete 'Super Bass' off my playlists when I get home." What do you think he was thinking?
