It's become like a preshow ritual for Brad Paisley. He told Parade magazine this weekend that he always sends flower to Carrie Underwood on the day of the CMA Awards, which air live on Thursday (Nov. 1) night.
"Every year, I send flowers to Carrie with a card that says, 'Good luck -- Don't mess this up!' It's part of the ritual," Paisley said. He also admitted how frightened he and Underwood were the first time, five years ago, they hosted the biggest awards show in country music.
"We were scared to death the first year, but we really have a good thing going now. Carrie's got this graceful, beautiful, funny persona, and I'm sort of everything else," he said. Both Underwood and Paisley are each up for one CMA Award this year. And if she wins hers in the female vocalist category, I'm guessing Paisley will send her flowers again the day after the awards.
