The suspense was killing me. I knew The Band Perry were releasing their newest single on Monday (Oct. 29), and I knew it was called "Better Dig Two." But I did not know why the sibling trio was so dirty and standing in a wheat field in the picture promoting the song.

Now, I know. The song is about putting someone six feet under. So it's kind of different from "If I Die Young," but in a way it's kind of like Randy Travis' "Dig Two Graves."

Lyrically, the song has a pretty sweet sentiment. That when you take vows you are promising to love that person until the day you die. But this gets down to some specifics: "I'll go to heaven or I'll go to hell before I see you with someone else," for example. And then the chorus: "Put me in the ground/Put me six feet down/Let the stone say: Here lies a girl whose only crutch/Was loving one man just a little too much/If you go before I do, I'm gonna tell the grave digger that he better dig two."

Musically, it's the kind of tune calls a mix of clang and twang with hand-clapping and banjo finger-picking. Listen to the song from their second album due in early 2013 and let us know what you think.
