Taylor Swift didn't win the Golden Globe she was nominated for at Sunday night's (Jan. 13) awards show. Adele and her Skyfall theme took that prize home, but Swift did have a chance to explain why her nominated song -- "Safe & Sound" from The Hunger Games -- was such a cool project for her. She said the film company wanted a song written from the point of view of Katniss, the main character. So that's what Swift did in her collaboration with the Civil Wars and T Bone Burnett. "We had this idea that we wanted the song to be about the empathy that goes into this film and the undertones of sympathy and human compassion that go along with such an incredible film with all this action and fighting in it," she said. "We wanted to highlight the fact that there's a lot of heart beneath that." And she took the time to thank Ryan Seacrest, who was doing the interview, for sending her some baking supplies. "You're one of the most thoughtful people in the business," she told him.
