I wasn't going to go into the goat territory. I knew someone very clever had been throwing goats into a Taylor Swift song, but come on. How stupid. Right? But then I saw Carrie Underwood's tweet about her goat song, so I had to look. "Carrie Underwood -- 'Blown Away' Goat Edition,'" Underwood tweeted. "Laughing so hard, I'm crying! I love these vids! Goats. Are. Awesome," And in her reply, Kelly Clarkson tweeted, "oh my gosh the Taylor Swift one is hilarious as well! I want one of those goats!" (It's not really clear from that tweet if she wants a goat for a pet -- which would be a novel wedding present idea -- or if she wants a goat collaboration.) So I watched, and I loved it. This just works. The goat really seems to have a good sense of timing, gets the cadence of the song and isn't pitchy at all. See what you think. If you think the goat collaborations are good on "Blown Away" and "I Knew You Were Trouble," what other country songs would fit? And if the goat people did a Clarkson tune, which one would you want to see?
