Hunter Hayes is cool with taking chances. That's why his song "Somebody's Heartbreak" is so fitting. The story behind the song sounds like a pretty familiar one: boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy writes a song about girl. Hayes described the whole story behind the song in People magazine's special country issue. "I knew it wasn't going to work because she wasn't into the relationship thing, but I wanted to try anyway," Hayes said. "The song was an attempt to say, 'Let's see how it goes. I know I'll probably get bummed out, but I will take any time with you.'" He admits the real-life heartbreak wasn't nearly as bad as he made it out to be in the song. And he also says he just wanted to write it and maybe not ever play it for her. But eventually, he did. "She knows the song is about her, and I give her a hard time, but we laugh about it now," he said.
