This look isn't easy to pull off. But for Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild, it sure looks like it. She shared some of her style secrets with People, one of which is that country music fashion means being able to "throw on a vintage piece with a dress from Target." It's like she read my mind. I do that all the time, but it never looks quite as good on me as it does on her.
Fairchild also says her look is a little downtown and a little hippie, and that she likes to mix vintage with modern. In fact, the cowboy boots she wore on the CMT Music Awards were $40 at a Texas vintage store.
And when Little Big Town is on tour with Keith Urban this summer, you may see her in those cowboy boots again. "It'll be the summer of denim shorts and dresses. And you can never go wrong with cowboy boots," she said. I've shopped high-end stores like Barney's with Fairchild before, and loved every minute. But now I have this overwhelming urge to go on a Target run with her, and then scour the racks at a few vintage stores.
