(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)
It seems like everyone was on royal baby watch Monday (July 22). No, not just because of Kate Middleton's royal baby but because of country music's royal baby. Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott gave birth to Eisele Kaye Tyrrell, and almost immediately, well-wishing tweets started popping up. Carrie Underwood was one of the first to send out her love. "@HillaryScottLA Congratulations, sweet Hillary! So many blessings to your family and its new gift from God! May she be just like you! :)," she wrote, while it looked like she was still vacationing in Austria. "Congrats to @HillaryScottLA of @ladyantebellum -- sweet lil thing finally showed up! This is where the party starts!" Kix Brooks tweeted. And Scott's own band sent out a tweet, too, saying "Congratulations to @HillaryScottLA and Chris, parents of the beautiful Eisele Kaye! Happy birthday and we love you!!"
In a recent radio interview, Scott talked about what kind of traits she'd love to pass on to her baby girl. "I'm pretty tenderhearted," she said. "Like, when somebody hurts, I hurt. I want her to be empathetic, sympathetic and caring toward people in their joys and their struggles."
