If Carrie Underwood ever wants to fall back on her fall-back plan, she has a job at Good Morning America. She was on the show on Monday (Aug. 12), but not just as a performer. And not just as a star interview. But as a host. And she looked very natural in front of the news cameras. Granted, she wasn't covering anything too serious. But still, she fit right in.
Underwood has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Oklahoma's Northeastern State University. The show put her degree to work. Underwood covered pop news topics, like Vogue's story and stunning photos of Jennifer Lawrence, a Rihanna remix that some kids used to get their back-to-school message out there and a story about a university filling a room with puppies so students could destress during final exams.
"When I get home from one of those epic long days, all I want is to have a cuddle fest with my own dogs, Ace and Penny. And I know I'm not the only one," Underwood said as she explained the university's puppy room. "I thought we could use something like this. It's busy and stressful here." Then she had at least a dozen puppies brought out to the hosts and crew, who seemed to be falling in love with Underwood's pup news right there on the show.
