I never knew a boutonniere could look so good pinned to a leather vest. But then again, I didn't marry a guy quite as cool as Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley.
Kelley and his new bride Brittney Marie Cole shared a kind of official wedding photo with People magazine. The newlyweds are standing in front of some sort of tepee, presumably on the property of Kelley's new Nashville home where they got married on Dec. 16. Besides his vest/boutonniere combo, he is wearing jeans and simple accessories, and his new wife is wearing a thick lace off-the-shoulder long-sleeve mini dress. She called it a "dream dress."
It sounds like the couple's engagement was just about as non-traditional as the wedding itself.
"There was no official proposal or exchanging of rings," Kelley told the magazine. "We had just fallen in love, and I knew I couldn't live without her. It sounds like a terrible cheesy movie, but when you know, you know. With her, I just really wanted nothing more than to be married."
Other wedding details include:
The exchange of gold bands that were passed on to them by Kelley's parents
Tapas-style dinner after the ceremony
Drinking and dancing after the dinner
A mix of country music and songs that Cole's 84-year-old godmother would know
A party and celebration that Kelley called "intimate"
"If you know us, you know that we really just dance to our own beat. We thought, 'Let's do it our way,'" Kelley said, adding that the bride and groom "focused on each other."
