Kacey Musgraves - "Kacey Musgraves Couldn't Be More Adorable at the Grammys"
First, it was the standout dress of the night. This was not a look anyone could pull off outside of the Grammys, but for Musgraves, it cemented her status as a country girl with strong Texas roots who follows her own style arrow.
The bodice with the plunging neckline was fuchsia. The waistband was white. And the short swingy skirt was a kind of deep purple. But the whole damn thing was covered in intricate beadwork, and the skirt was trimmed with gold tassels.
And then there were her pale blue, light-up cowboy boots. Her boots -- and the jackets for her band members -- had more than 150 LED lights per piece. Even Musgraves' date for the night, her mother, was wearing cowboy boots.
"She's bringin' the Texas," Musgraves had said on the red carpet.
The whole look was custom designed by Musgraves' Toronto-born stylist Hayley Atkin, and the dress was handmade by Enrique.
On the other end of the style spectrum was Musgraves' sophisticated red carpet look: a pale nude Armani Prive dress, Jimmy Choo shoes and Forevermark Diamonds jewels.
"It feels like I'm floating," she said of the sheer, tiered floor-length gown earlier in the night.
After she won her two Grammys -- one for best country song for "Merry Go 'Round" and one for best country album award for her debut, Same Trailer Different Park -- Musgraves went backstage to talk about her after-party plans (eating carbs) and her plans for Monday (sleeping in and laying out in the sun).
"I am pretty much on cloud 12. Or 100," she said. "This night's been incredible."
