Florida Georgia Line have been riding the wave after taking home the fan-voted ACM Award for new artist last year.

"It was a big turning point in our career," the band's Tyler Hubbard told Radio.com when they were in Las Vegas for the show this year. "New artist of the year, it felt like it was a boost of momentum. Everything kicked into high gear. Ever since then it's been game on. ... We've been working hard and getting to be on some amazing tours with Luke (Bryan) and Jason (Aldean). Basically, just keep riding the wave and hold on tight. Buckle up."

Is Hubbard comparing his music career to surfing, rodeos and racing? Yes.

This year, the band won vocal duo of the year and headlined the ACM Fan Jam show. "To be here again this year is a huge honor, and we're happy to be a part of it," Hubbard said.

What's next for the band? Another album, which sounds like it's already almost halfway done.

"We're in the studio working hard," Brian Kelley said. "We've already got five to six songs tracked and rockin'. I feel like everybody has gotten better. It's a new season. It's time for recording. We had the time of our life making our last record, and I think it showed and I think a lot of people enjoyed it. This time around no pressure. We're going to go in and put the best songs we can on there and let the fans and country radio do the work."
