When I was in Las Vegas for the ACM Awards, I interviewed Natalie Stovall one night at 10:30. And she wasn't going to take the stage that night until after midnight. And then she was going to walk the red carpet the next day. And then she was going to attend the ACM Awards.

One of CMT's Next Women of Country, Stovall is a busy, busy, busy country artist. And she wouldn't have it any other way. Stovall told me that after close to 10 years of playing live shows with her band the Drive, signing a record deal has changed her daily (and nightly) routines, and she is reveling in all that chaos.
"There are a lot of times when we're out doing a lot of interviews and getting our pictures taken and doing shows, and all these people are saying, 'I'm so sorry this is such a busy day for you.' And I'm like, 'Don't apologize. I want more. This is what we've always wanted.' People care now."
The new record deal also means more people are hearing the band's music, especially their debut single "Baby Come On With It." And that's been a little surreal for Stovall and her band.
"We see the difference now at shows. There are people coming to shows that we've never seen before," she explained. "Because for years, if someone knew our lyrics, it was because we knew them. Now there are people who have heard us on the radio that we've never met before, but they know the words and they're singing along at the shows."
She described the trip to this newfound fame as a little bit crazy because of the timing of it all.
"After a decade of one-step-at-a-time pushing the rock up the hill, it feels like everything happening right now happened so quickly," Stovall said. "And we're just like sponges, soaking it all in."
