Whenever Blake Shelton decides it's his turn to defend his marriage to Miranda Lambert, he usually takes to Twitter. But this time, he went on live TV to do it.
In a Monday (April 21) interview with Carson Daly on Today, all four judges from The Voice talked about what this year's season of the show has been like for them -- on and off camera.
And when Shelton had the chance to tell the world what life is really like for him at home, he didn't waste one minute.
"I would take this opportunity to say, to clear the air, you may pick up a magazine or a tabloid any day of the week that'll say something about my relationship with Miranda, and that it's in turmoil and we're gonna divorce," he said. "And the truth is, I've never felt a stronger bond ... not only with her but with any other human being in my life. I mean, Miranda and I, she's my life."
Between Shelton's comment and some of the struggles Shakira and Usher admitted they face when trying to balance their business and personal lives, it must have a tough act for Adam Levine to follow in the interview. But he told a story that lightened the mood a little.
He said the four judges (all singers in real life, by the way) banded together and played an intimate show in a small Los Angeles club.
"There's something actually more intimidating about playing a small, intimate room," he said of what must've been some kind of all-genre show. "Your mistakes are that much more under the microscope."
