Since the "Country Cares" program began in 1989, radio stations across America have
raised more than $150 million in pledges for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. "Country Cares" is present in 170 radio
markets, with events in eight of the top 10 markets and more than 65 of the top 100. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
in Memphis, Tenn., was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas. The hospital is an internationally recognized, biomedical
research center dedicated to finding cures for catastrophic childhood diseases. The hospital's work is supported through funds
raised by the American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities (ALSAC). All St. Jude patients are treated regardless of their
ability to pay. ALSAC covers all costs for families who have no insurance. For more information, please visit http://www.stjude.org.
AllStarCharity.com is a new kind of charity venture that combines the Internet
with the world of entertainment in an effort to raise money and awareness for nonprofit organizations. The charity chosen
by the celebrity receives 100 percent of the proceeds from the auctioned items.
