Big name country acts won't hit the stage 'til the sun goes down at this year's Fan Fair, but festival goers can hear up-and-comers
such as Chris Cagle, Elbert West, Lila McCann,
Eric Heatherly and Darryl Worley during the
heat of the day.
To supplement the evening concerts staged by major record distribution groups at Adelphia Coliseum,
the Country Music Association will present ongoing musical performances in Riverfront Park, on the banks of the Cumberland,
beginning at 10 a.m. June 15-16 and at 11 a.m. June 17. In all the concerts will showcase more than 50 artists.
In
special programming segments, Billy Block will present his Western Beat Show including performances by Radney Foster and Hayseed Dixie, and Nashville-area station WMGC-AM (810) will present a Spanish language
program with performances by Little Joe Y La Familia and Campanas de America, among others.
Fan Fair ticketholders
will have free admission to the fenced-in park. A limited number of daily concert tickets, priced at $10, will be available
at the gate.
