The Dixie Chicks' Emily Robison gave birth to a baby boy Monday night (Nov. 11) in
San Antonio. Charles Augustus Robison arrived at 10 p.m., weighing 8 pounds and 13 ounces and measuring 21 inches long. Robison
is married to country singer Charlie Robison. This is the first child for the couple.
The family is resting at home in San Antonio, Texas, according to a press release.
The child's middle name was inspired
by Robert Duvall's character 'Gus' in Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove series of novels. "We're so happy to have a healthy
baby boy and feel very blessed," Charlie Robison said. "I'll probably hold off at least a couple of days before teaching him
how to ride a horse."
