Reba McEntire will star in a half-hour sitcom to air on The WB cable network. The show's working title is Sally; McEntire
will play a Texas woman who discovers her husband has a mistress and her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant by the high school
football star.
Scripted by the same writers who penned the ABC comedies Boy Meets World and Home Improvement,
the show is produced by Los Angeles-based Acme Productions and 20th Century Fox. No airdate has been set, and producers have
not announced where the show will be shot, a spokeswoman for McEntire's record label, MCA, told country.com.
McEntire
is no stranger to acting, having starred in several TV movies and feature films, including CBS' Forever Love and the
upcoming big screen release One Night at McCool's. She makes her Broadway debut Friday (Jan. 26) as Annie Oakley in
Annie Get Your Gun. She will stay in the role through May 27.
