Brad Paisley's life sure has changed in the last year. His debut album, Who Needs Pictures, has gone gold, he's charted
his first No. 1 single and he's nominated four times at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards.
"I'm just totally
flattered," Paisley told country.com about his award nods. "It means a lot to me because 'He Didn't Have to Be' has almost
taken on a life of its own."
"He Didn't Have to Be" is the song that helped Paisley break through as a new artist.
He wrote the tune with his friend Kelley Lovelace about Kelley's stepson, McCain. The song is nominated for single, song and
video of the year. Brad is also up for new male vocalist.

awards Brad would most like to take home and hear why he thinks Kelley should wear dark pants to the awards show.
