Nashville's Bluebird Café will sponsor a series of songwriter performances at Sundance Resort in Park City, Utah, July 16-Aug. 30. More than 20 of country music's most laureled composers will perform each Wednesday through Friday at the Owl Bar and on each Saturday at the Eccles Outdoor Amphitheater. This is the first year for the event.
"A few years ago,"
explains Bluebird owner Amy Kurland, "we did a [songwriters] series at Disney World. The man who was directing the Disney
Institute at that time is now at Sundance and is looking to upgrade the arts offerings there."
In addition to the songwriters,
Kurland says she is also lining up various artists to take part in the performances but that she cannot yet announce their
