Billy Ray Cyrus Lands TV Series
Billy Ray Cyrus will star in his own television series next year on cable network PAX TV. Doc features Cyrus as the lead character, Dr. Clint Cassidy, who is described in a press release as "a handsome doctor from Montana." Dr. Cassidy follows a woman he loves to New York City, then stays on to work at a Manhattan medical clinic when the romance goes south. The hour-long weekly drama has been picked up for 13 episodes and will debut as a two-hour movie in March. Shooting begins in Toronto in December. Music from Cyrus' new album, Southern Rain, will be included in the show, either as performances or background music.
