After several years off the road, Dixie Chicks are about to fly with a North American tour starting July 21 in Detroit and concluding Nov. 11 in Tacoma, Wash. Tickets for the Accidents & Accusations tour go on sale over the first two weeks in June. The tour title comes from a line in the song, "Easy Silence," from their album, Taking the Long Way, which will be released Tuesday (May 23).

Lead singer Natalie Maines describes the show as "more of an old-style rock show ... not so much about theatrics and props but just about the music." She also notes, "To rock out, we used to have to pull out a cover tune, so it's nice to have your own songs to fill that part of the set."

As previously reported, the Chicks will perform a June 15 concert at Shepherd's Bush Empire in London, where Maines uttered the infamous remark about President Bush in 2003. They'll also join the Eagles for a June 17 show at Twickenham Stadium in London.
