Steve Holy Achieves Brand New Success on Sales Chart
Rodney Atkins' "If You're Going Through Hell" Remains No. 1 at Radio
Plenty of people brought home Steve Holy's Brand New Girlfriend last week -- 36,921 of them, in fact. That's enough for the Texas native to debut at No. 2 on Billboard's country album chart. It's his first album since 2000's Blue Moon, which included the five-week No. 1 hit ballad, "Good Morning Beautiful."

Brand New Girlfriend is squeezed in between Rascal Flatts' Me and My Gang at No. 1 and Josh Turner's Your Man at No. 3. The latest albums from the Dixie Chicks, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Johnny Cash, Rodney Atkins, the Wreckers and Toby Keith round out the Top 10. Further down the chart, Texas-based band Reckless Kelly enters at No. 56 with Reckless Kelly Was Here, which includes two CDs of live music and a concert DVD recorded at the Austin music club La Zona Rosa.

Rodney Atkins spends a third week at No. 1 on the country airplay chart with "If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)." But the Wreckers have an eye on the top spot as "Leave the Pieces" climbs to No. 2. Holy's latest single, also titled "Brand New Girlfriend," leaps five notches to No. 3. Keith's "A Little Too Late" falls to No. 4, peaking at No. 2 last week. Little Big Town's "Bring It on Home" rises to No. 5, trailed by Gary Allan's "Life Ain't Always Beautiful," Brad Paisley's "The World," George Strait's "Give It Away," Brooks & Dunn's "Building Bridges" and Faith Hill's "Sunshine and Summertime," at Nos. 6 through 10, respectively.

Several singles that haven't been released on albums yet continue to do well at radio. Dierks Bentley's "Every Mile a Memory" holds steady at No. 18, one spot ahead of Heartland's "I Loved Her First." Alan Jackson's "Like Red on a Rose," Lonestar's "Mountains" and Sugarland's "Want To" are still on the way up too, at No. 23, 24 and 25 respectively. Meanwhile, Pat Green's "Way Back Texas" enters at No. 55. His new album, Cannonball, will be released Aug. 22. Other new singles include Rascal Flatts' "My Wish" at No. 56 and Keith's "Crash Here Tonight" at No. 57.
