Brooks & Dunn Gallop In With No. 1 Album of No. 1 Songs (And Then Some)
Jason Aldean's "Big Green Tractor" Is Top Country Tune for Fourth Week
CMT Insider News Now - 8.12.09
Well, it seems pretty clear that Brooks & Dunn have no intention of going out with a whimper. The duo, which announced it will split for good after its 2010 tour, bangs onto Billboard's country album chart at No. 1 with the hit-heavy collection #1s ... And Then Some.

Nielsen SoundScan reports that the album sold just over 55,000 copies its first week out. And while we're in the applause mode, let's clap loud and wildly for Jason Aldean, whose current single, "Big Green Tractor," spends it fourth week at the apex of the song chart. Such tenacity is rare these days.

Making its first chart appearance this week is the Cracker Barrel restaurant edition of the Zac Brown Band's The Foundation. Debuting at No. 30, the retrofitted album includes previously unreleased live recordings of "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down," "I Lost It" and "I Shall Be Released."

The remaining new album is Terri Clark's Long Way Home. It parts the curtains at No. 62. There are two re-entries -- John Doe and the Sadies' Country Club, back at No. 56, and Randy Travis' Around the Bend (No. 72).

New songs coming aboard include Tim McGraw's "Southern Voice" (No. 49), Billy Currington's "That's How Country Boys Roll" (No. 54), Phil Vassar's "Everywhere I Go" (No. 56), Jypsi's "Mister Officer" (No. 58) and the Lost Trailers' "All This Love" (No. 60).

Completing this week's Top 5 albums list, in descending order, are Taylor Swift's Fearless, the Zac Brown Band's The Foundation (original edition), the soundtrack to Hannah Montana: The Movie and George Strait's Twang.

Songs No. 2 through No. 5 are Strait's "Living for the Night," Justin Moore's "Small Town USA," Toby Keith's "American Ride" and Keith Urban's "Only You Can Love Me This Way."

Let's watch next week's albums sales to see if Swift's clash with Kanye West has an up side to it.
