Jason Aldean surges to No. 1 on the Billboard country singles chart this week with his "The Truth," while Taylor Swift's Fearless continues its seemingly interminable reign as America's bestselling country album.

Aldean's triumph elbows out last week's top song, Tim McGraw's "Southern Voice," which drops to No. 3.

The week's highest-charting new album is the soundtrack from the Jeff Bridges movie, Crazy Heart. It swings in at No. 6 with first-period sales of more than 11,000 copies.

The only other album debuting is Gretchen Wilson's Greatest Hits, entering at No. 24. Hank Williams Jr.'s 127 Rose Avenue returns at No. 71.

Martina McBride's "Wrong Baby Wrong," bowing at No. 51, leads the parade of five new songs and is followed by Swift's "Today Was a Fairytale" (No. 52), Reba McEntire's "I Keep On Lovin' You" (No. 57), Darryl Worley's "Best of Both Worlds" (No. 59) and Jack Ingram's "Free" (No. 60).

The Eli Young Band's "Guinevere" encores at No. 58.

Completing the Top 5 songs list, in descending order, are Miranda Lambert's "White Liar," Dierks Bentley's "I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes" and Brad Paisley's "American Saturday Night."

Albums No. 2 through No. 5 are Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood's Play On, the Zac Brown Band's The Foundation and Aldean's Wide Open.

Lady Antebellum's second album, Need You Now, was released Tuesday (Jan. 26). By next week, we'll have the figures to see if it's a breeze or a hurricane.
