Miranda Lambert grabbed a total of nine nominations to prevail as the top contender at the 44th annual CMA Awards.

Lambert and Dierks Bentley announced the nominees in the final five categories Wednesday morning (Sept. 1) in New York City during a segment of ABC's Good Morning America. The nominations were posted on the GMA website shortly after they were revealed during the program's 7:30 a.m. ET segment.

Lambert had already claimed five nominations when the initial nominations in seven of the 12 categories were announced Tuesday in Nashville. Her four additional nominations are for entertainer of the year and female vocalist, album of the year (for Revolution) and musical event (for her collaboration with Bentley and Jamey Johnson on "Bad Angel," a track from Bentley's Up on the Ridge album). As previously reported, she has two nominations each in the single and video of the year categories for "The House That Built Me" and "White Liar." She's also nominated for song of the year for co-writing "White Liar."

In addition to the musical event nomination, Bentley is up for male vocalist and album of the year for his critically acclaimed acoustic music project, Up on the Ridge.

However, when the nominations were announced Wednesday, Lady Antebellum picked up an additional mention in the entertainer of the year category and an album of the year nod for Need You Now. They were already nominated for vocal group and single and video of the year (for "Need You Now"). That's five nominations, but group members Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott and co-writer Josh Kear landed individual nominations in the song of the year division for writing "Need You Now."
