Predictably, Taylor Swift's muscular Speak Now continues its dominance as the week's bestselling album, not only in the country category but also on the all-genres Billboard 200 chart. Speak Now has already been certified triple-platinum in just eight weeks for shipments of 3 million copies.
Only one new album rears its head this week, the multiple-artist package, Forever Country, which pops up at No. 70. Joe Nichols' Old Things New re-enters at No. 75.
Four songs make their first chart appearance: Lady Antebellum's "Blue Christmas" (No. 54) and "Silver Bells" (No. 60), the Zac Brown Band's "Colder Weather" (No. 56) and Steel Magnolia's "Last Night Again" (No. 59).
Immediately following "Turn On the Radio" in the Top 5 songs cluster are Jason Aldean's "My Kinda Party," Tim McGraw's "Felt Good on My Lips," Carrie Underwood's "Mama's Song" and Kenny Chesney's "Somewhere With You," in that order.
The No. 2 through No. 4 albums are Rascal Flatts' Nothing Like This, Aldean's My Kinda Party, Sugarland's The Incredible Machine and Lady Antebellum's Need You Now.
OK, enough of that! Now get on out of here and go deck them halls.
