Jason Aldean continues to live up to the name of his latest album, My Kinda Party, by stepping into the spotlight during the Grammy nominations concert on Wednesday night (Nov. 30) in Los Angeles, along with grabbing multiple nods in country-related categories.

Music recorded by Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift also earned multiple Grammy nominations, while The Band Perry snagged a prime-time performance slot on the CBS special, along with a nomination for best new artist.

Aldean performed "Dirt Road Anthem" with Ludacris on the special while The Band Perry offered a medley of "Independence" and Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'." Sugarland and Lady Gaga closed the nominations concert special with a lively rendition of Lady Gaga's pop hit, "You and I." The full list of Grammy nominations were revealed as soon as the televised concert ended.

Aldean's "Dirt Road Anthem" landed in the category of best country solo performance, along with Martina McBride's "I'm Gonna Love You Through It," Shelton's "Honey Bee," Swift's "Mean" and Carrie Underwood's "Mama's Song." (The Grammys consolidated numerous categories starting this year and solo country artists are longer separated into male and female categories.)

Meanwhile, the nominees in the category of country duo/group performance include Aldean and Kelly Clarkson's "Don't You Wanna Stay," Chesney and Grace Potter's "You and Tequila," the Civil Wars' "Barton Hollow" and Thompson Square's "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not."

Nominees for the best country song, presented to the songwriters, are "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not" (written by Jim Collins and David Lee Murphy), "God Gave Me You" (written by Dave Barnes, recorded by Shelton), "Just Fishin'" (written by Casey Beathard, Monty Criswell and Ed Hill, recorded by Trace Adkins), "Mean" (written and recorded by Swift) and "Threaten Me With Heaven" (written by Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Will Owsley and Dillon O'Brian and recorded by Gill).

Finally, in the best country album category, the nominees are Aldean's My Kinda Party, Eric Church's Chief, Lady Antebellum's Own the Night, Shelton's Red River Bue, George Strait's Here for a Good Time and Swift's Speak Now.

In the category for best song written for visual media, Zac Brown scored a nomination for his "Where the River Goes" from Footloose. As a songwriter, Brown shares the nomination with Wyatt Durrette, Drew Pearson and Anne Preven. Brown also recorded the song for the film's soundtrack.

The Grammys will air live on Feb. 12 on CBS.
