Three unique families will step into the spotlight as Bayou Billionaires, My Big Redneck Vacation and Swanderosa premiere on CMT this weekend.
Bayou Billionaires follows a hardworking family of modest means who recently discovered their home sits on the fourth-largest deposit of natural gas in the U.S. After years of pinching pennies and balancing budgets, the over-the-top Dowdens are ready to enjoy the finer things in life, sparing no expense. In the series premiere on Saturday (Jan. 21) at 9 p.m. ET/PT, matriarch Kitten Dowden brings the whole family to check out the local country club in the hopes they can gain membership to the upper crust in their hometown of Shreveport, La. The Dowdens will decide if they're the right fit for this new swanky hangout.
My Big Redneck Wedding, hosted by comedian Tom Arnold, features the real-life, naturally-entertaining extended Clampet family, born and raised in the South, as they embark on a "fish out of water" experience by visiting a fancy beach rental in the Hamptons for the summer. In the series premiere on Saturday at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, the family arrives at their multi-million dollar summer rental home ready to experience their summer vacation in fine style. Before they settle in, though, they must adjust the mansion to their liking by replacing expensive wall art with mounted deer heads. They also hold an archery contest to determine which couple wins the master bedroom for the summer. Even shopping for food is like an expedition in a foreign land as they question their local butcher about where they can find rattlesnake to grill.
Swanderosa offers a look at the Swan family, who turned their dream home into a summer wedding venue. In the season premiere on Friday (Jan. 20), eldest daughter Ashley coordinates the events, mom Judy strives to execute her beautiful floral visions, dad Tom spins wedding standards as DJ Dr. Smoove and younger daughter Lesley act as the glue that holds it all together. Together, the family races against the clock to pull off incredible wedding-day surprises for a Great Gatsby-themed ceremony, including a '20s-style speakeasy and special request for a rare roadster to ferry the couple into marital bliss.
