There's no change at the peak of the Billboard country chart this week. Lady Antebellum presses on at No. 1 with its Own the Night album, while Keith Urban's "You Gonna Fly" is, for the second week, the most-played country song.
The soundtrack to the film Act of Valor is the only new album. It contains performances by Urban, Trace Adkins, Sugarland, Lady Antebellum, Hunter Hayes, Jake Owen, Wynonna, Lori McKenna, Montgomery Gentry and Josh Kelley and checks in at No. 8 of sales of 10,343 copies..
Icon 2: George Strait re-enters the albums list at No. 75.
Among the three new songs, Carrie Underwood's "Good Girl" strides in at No. 30, Hunter Hayes' "Wanted" at No. 57 and Kix Brooks' "New to This Town," featuring Joe Walsh, at No.58.
Albums No. 2 through No. 5 are Luke Bryan's Tailgates & Tanlines, Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party, Dierks Bentley's Home and The Band Perry's self-titled debut, in that order.
The remaining songs within the Top 5 cluster are Kenny Chesney's "Reality," Bentley's "Home," Martina McBride's "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" and Jake Owens' "Alone With You."
Sales of the Top 75 country albums, Nielsen SoundScan reports, dropped from 408,598 units last week to 287,459 this week.
It'll get better. Just you wait.
