Ashley Monroe, The Voice winner Cassadee Pope, Dustin Lynch, American Idol runner-up Kree Harrison, Love and Theft and Randy Houser will perform on the Nationwide Insurance stage at the 2013 CMT Music Awards, it announced Wednesday (May 29).
Taking place June 5 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, the CMT Music Awards air live at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com.
They join an already star-studded list of performers including Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, Jason Aldean, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan and Taylor Swift.
Aldean and actress Kristen Bell are set to host the fan-voted event. Presenters will be announced soon.
This marks the sixth consecutive year that the Nationwide Insurance stage will be featured during the show. As part of their sponsorship, Nationwide will award the Nationwide Insurance On Your Side Award to country music's best new live act, as determined by the fans. Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, Kip Moore and Lee Brice are the nominees.
Voting is open for all the awards now through June 2 online at CMT.com and on mobile devices at CMT Mobile or the CMT Insider app available on iPhone, iPad and Android to determine the winners. The six finalists for video of the year will be announced at the beginning of the live show. Fans can then vote at CMT.com, CMT Mobile, on the CMT Insider app and via text message throughout the live telecast (Eastern and Central time zones only) to determine the night's big winner.
Prior to the main event, the hottest stars in country, rock and pop culture entertainment will step out in their designer best at the CMT Music Awards Red Carpet hosted by CMT's Cody Alan, Katie Cook and Allison DeMarcus at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com. The CMT hosts will report live from the star-studded red carpet with exclusive interviews, candid moments and a first look at the fashion choices of the night's biggest stars.
