CMT will begin airing eight new segments of Concrete Country on Tuesday (July 16). The live, outdoor sessions will spotlight independent artists performing in the cities that helped establish their musical careers.

CMT and Mountain Dew announced a partnership earlier this year that would take the online series to the network. Brian Davis, Casey Donahew Band, the Dirty River Boys, Nikki Lane, Stoney LaRue, the Black Lillies, Turnpike Troubadours and Whiskey Myers are the first eight artists chosen for the broadcast series.

The first of the 10-minute segments will air at 11:50 p.m. ET/PT. In addition, one video from each artist will be included in CMT music blocks, as well as CMT Pure, for the week following the premiere. Additional content will be available at Concrete.CMT.com.

In the first episode premiering Tuesday, Brian Davis performs a four-song set from downtown Nashville's honky-tonk-lined Lower Broadway, delivering acoustic versions of the songs "Dirty," "Bang," "Hurt Like Hell Yeah" and "Against the World."

Additional episodes of Concrete Country will premiere weekly as follows:

• Whiskey Myers -- July 23 (Tyler, Texas)
• The Black Lillies -- July 30 (Knoxville, Tenn.)
• Stoney LaRue -- Aug. 6 (Oklahoma City)
• Nikki Lane -- Aug. 13 (Nashville)
• Casey Donahew Band -- Aug. 20 (Fort Worth, Texas)
• Turnpike Troubadours -- Aug. 27 (Tulsa, Okla.)
• The Dirty River Boys -- Sept. 3 (Austin, Texas)

Concrete Country launched on CMT.com in March 2012 and is dedicated to music discovery with an emphasis on artists who write their own songs. So far, the online series has featured outdoor performances by the Lumineers, First Aid Kit and Trampled by Turtles, as well as Caitlin Rose, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Green River Ordinance, Jason Boland, Lydia Loveless, Robert Ellis, the Farewell Drifters, the Infamous Stringdusters, Will Hoge and Yarn.

The series is executive produced by Mark Hall and Lewis Bogach for CMT and CMT.com.
