Photos surfaced over the weekend of Keith Urban and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler onstage together at the famed Tootsie's Orchid Lounge in downtown Nashville.

The first question you may be asking is, "Just what the heck was Keith Urban doing playing free shows in a sweltering honky-tonk on Lower Broadway?"
That's an easy one: getting closer to his fans and giving them a taste of his new album, Fuse, which will be released Tuesday (Sept. 10).
A better question may be, "Just what the heck is Steven Tyler doing be-bopping all around Nashville and crashing shows left and right?" (He hopped in during a songwriters round at the Bluebird Café last week and sang a couple of tunes for patrons.)
This is another easy answer: just being a true icon, an incomparable showman and an all-around advocate for great music and musicians. The man lives it and loves every minute of it.
So it rattled no one Friday night (Sept. 6) when Tyler spontaneously planted a big kiss on Urban's cheek after joining him for a bluesy, swamp-rock version of "Walk This Way" and then asked him to kindly pass that smooch along to Urban's fellow American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez. Of course, J-Lo is Tyler's former partner in crime on Idol.
Personally, I'd like to know how Urban and Tyler didn't pass out from the intensely-humid Tennessee heat hanging in that tiny club. I've never seen an audience like that in my life. As my mama would say, "You couldn't stir that crowd with a stick!" Word on the street was that the air conditioning was out that night, but I thought it just was the combination of those two being on stage together.
Before his stop at Tootsie's, Urban performed an exclusive show at Cumberland Park for Yahoo Music's Ram Country Live and brought out another surprise guest -- Eric Church. The crowd went crazy when the two performed "Raise 'Em Up," their collaboration on Fuse>.
