Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood walked the red carpet at Tuesday night's (Sept. 10) ACM Honors ceremony in Nashville without their musical partner, new mommy Hillary Scott.
But that didn't stop the two proud "uncles" from updating our CMT Radio team on the newest member of the Lady A family -- Hillary and husband Chris Tyrrell's new bundle of joy, Eisele Kaye. The world has yet to see the first photos of the newest addition to the Lady A family, but Kelley assures us she's gorgeous.
"Her eyes are just already wide open -- beautiful," he told me. "I mean, you know, Chris and Hillary are stunning people, so it's like she's gonna be a little beauty queen."
We believe him, too. Both Kelley and Haywood have been almost excited as her parents to welcome Eisele to the world. During Scott's pregnancy, they admitted to shopping for little Baby Antebellum and loving every minute of the excitement.
So I had to ask them the obvious question, "When are you planning to become papas?"
I joked with Haywood that my woman's intuition kept telling me he and his wife Kelli seemed the next likely candidates. He laughed, somewhat in shock, and we all had a good chuckle over the notion. When the time comes, Haywood and Kelley are going to make the most wonderful doting dads.
Lady Antebellum -- and presumably Baby Antebellum, too -- will hit the road this fall with their Take Me Downtown tour featuring special guests Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves.
In the meantime, watch the trio perform with one of their favorite artists when CMT Crossroads: Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum premieres Friday (Sept. 13) at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
