A year ago, if you asked Cassadee Pope if she thought she'd be celebrating the release of a debut album and her very own docu-series with a smashing red carpet party in Nashville, she'd probably giggle and say, "No way!"
But with the help of coach Blake Shelton and a winning season on NBC's The Voice in 2012, all that has changed. She's now poised for country music success with her debut album. Just ask the fans, her label family at Republic Nashville and others in the music industry, and they'll tell you she's a star in the making.
In the meantime, Pope is still trying to wrap her brain around all the attention as she prepares for next week's premiere of CMT's Cassadee Pope: Frame by Frame.
Sparkling in a gorgeous navy dress, Pope held back happy tears during the festivities Wednesday evening (Sept. 25) at Ruby, an upscale venue near Nashville's Music Row. Friends and industry associates filled the room for a private screening of the first episode.
"I've never had a party for myself or my music or had a party where I sat on a couch and watched my journey on a wall -- or I had my team say these things that made me feel loved," she confessed.
That attitude of gratitude is evident throughout Cassadee Pope: Frame by Frame as she embarks on a national radio tour and works with producer Dann Huff to record her first album for Republic Nashville. The first episode alone definitely captures the spirit, intensity and drive needed to launch a career in country music.
I can't say much more, but I will tell you this: Pope has got it. And she's ready to take on the world.
Cassadee Pope: Frame by Frame premieres Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
