CMA Awards Reveal First Performers

Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift will perform on the CMA Awards on Nov. 6. All four artists are nominated for CMA entertainer of the year. Fellow CMA nominees Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw and Keith Urban will also perform during the event.

Along with their entertainer nominations, Aldean and Bryan are included in the male vocalist and vocal event categories, the latter for "The Only Way I Know," along with Eric Church.

Shelton will also compete for male vocalist and album (Based on a True Story), as well as musical event and music video for "Boys 'Round Here" with the Pistol Annies. Shelton is the reigning CMA male vocalist. Church and Urban round out this year's male vocalist category.

McGraw, Swift and Urban share three nominations for "Highway Don't Care," which is up for single, musical event and music video. Swift is also nominated for female vocalist and album (Red).

Lambert joins Kelly Clarkson, Kacey Musgraves, Swift and Carrie Underwood in the female vocalist category. Lambert's "Mama's Broken Heart" is also nominated for single and music video. As a member of the Pistol Annies, she is nominated for musical event and music video for "Boys 'Round Here."

Little Big Town, the reigning CMA vocal group, are again nominated in that category. They are also on the ballot for their album Tornado, as well as their music video for the title track.

George Strait, who will complete his farewell tour in 2014, is the fifth nominee in the entertainer of the year category. Strait is the all-time leading CMA nominee. At press time, he was not yet confirmed to perform on this year's show.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the ceremony, which takes places at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. The event will air live on ABC.
